Free Chicago Demos: The K-1 Wants to Raise Your Vibe and Health!

DSCN4654

Attention Chicagoans:  Get a free Noblerex K-1 demo and 10 minute whole body vibration workout by e-mailing me at info “at” noblerexk1health.com.  You can also get your picture with it if you want –

For those not in Chicago, not to worry – please read the note after the video.

I am also going to be taking the K-1 on a “Chicago vibration tour,” taking it with me in a car and talking to groups interested in learning more about it for use in physical therapy, osteoporosis, chiropractic health, weight loss, personal training, neuromuscular rehabilitation, etc.   If you are in a group (even a meetup.com group) or are friends with someone in a group that would really benefit from learning about whole body vibration and the Noblerex K-1, please have them e-mail me or let me know about them.  I’d be more than happy to connect with them, and hopefully let their whole group or staff try out the machine!

Anywhere in Metro Chicago is possible.  The K-1 wants to raise your vibes!

Now, why would you want to get a ride on the K-1 again?

If you haven’t yet checked out the site, please go to this page for a simple explanation of how whole body vibration works and what it can do for you.

A friend of mine in Chicago has been coming over a couple times a week to use it and this is what he has to say (And for me, it’s neat to know how much he’s missed it every time he comes back!):

“I have been using the Noblerex K1 for 2 weeks now, and the K1 has completely changed my entire outlook on exercise, and life in general.  I look forward to getting on the K1 each and every time; hats every  off to Lenette for providing a cutting edge method of exercise. If you  are like me and are constantly seeking the next best thing, I highly  recommend the Noblerex K1.” ~Chris

Note: If you’re not in Chicago or near Chicago and are interested in learning more about it or trying it out for yourself, give me a call at 800 MY K1 POWER or e-mail me.  I can see if there’s one nearby you or we can figure something else out for you :)

P.S.  The price just came down yesterday!  Check out the special sales price here.

Noblerex K-1 Vibration Training Versus Lifting Weights

woman-lifting-weights-fb

Sometimes, people checking out the Noblerex K-1 and Total Body Exercise will ask: why not play it safe and stick with tried and true weight training and cardio?

Sure, that might seem like a good idea but it’s missing out on the greatest discovery in physical fitness and human performance.  Remember that Russia set a World Record for the longest stay in space of 420 days using Whole Body Machines.  The US on the other hand relied on the best conventional exercise machines and fitness trainers money could buy and had to return after just 120 days.

What vibration plate training with the Noblerex K-1 can do is to stimulate your muscles into a repeated involuntary stretch reflex (a.k.a. a contract and release pattern).  This involuntary stretch reflex is controlled by the spinal cord.  Conventional training, on the other hand, involves voluntary muscle movement controlled by our brain.  Creating an involuntary stretch reflex provides a number of benefits for our bodies but the most important when it comes to building muscle and getting lean are:

  1. The number of stretch reflexes per minute is very high (7-28 times per second) and this is far higher in shorter periods of time than what’s possible with conventional exercise routines.
  2. Involuntary muscle contractions engage around 97% of your muscle fibers compared with only 40% under conventional exercise conditions.  This really raises the ceiling on your fitness potential.
  3. The repetition rate is completely user adjustable, allowing you to use the Noblerex to achieve a complete range of benefits including:  massage, joint rehabilitation, toning, flexibility, balance, weight loss, strengthening in static poses (i.e. yoga), developing involuntary muscles (i.e. your core) and building of muscle – all the time boosting circulation and lymphatic flow.
  4. Whole body vibration training has also been shown to increase testosterone up to up to 7%.   Testosterone is a natural steroid absolutely crucial to building muscle, allowing fast-twitch muscle fibers to fully recover at a quicker rate, and increasing energy, among other things.

As you get stronger, or if you’re already pretty strong, of course, you can add weights, medicine balls, elastic bands, etc. to your exercise time on the machine.  Hand straps are included with the Noblerex K-1 to allow a full range of upper body workout options.

Don’t forget the research too:

  • Exercising using Whole Body Vibration systems has been found to boost your muscle strength by 50% in just 3 weeks!
  • A 12-week study found that strength increases from an average of 10 minutes of vibration training were similar to those seen in an hour of regular resistance training. (Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise, 2003; 35 (6); 1033-1041)

Conventional exercise and muscle training require discipline, considerable time, and countless repetitions.  In addition, there is growing concern about the effect of lifting heavy weights on the joints, ligaments, and tendons of the body.  Whole body vibration training with the Noblerex K1 is an effective, proven method of strength training without these constraints.

To me it’s like comparing a kitchen aid blender to a high power blender like the Vitamix.  There’s just no comparing the kind of smoothies, ice cream, juices, etc you can make with nor the number of decades the Vitamix will last!!  Sure the Vitamix is a $500 blender, but by the time you go through 4 or more blenders you bought at Target or wherever, you learn that it’s worth the investment.  And once you see the results with the food and your diet you’re in love!

The Noblerex K-1 90 Day Challenge

IMG_0856_2

I feel the need for a transformation!  What I’ve been doing for exercise is not getting me to my desired body fat % and muscle tone so I’m ready for a CHANGE.  I’m ready to lay out an entire whole body vibration exercise regimen for the next 90 days.  Basically, I’ll be dramatically increasing the time on the Noblerex (from the recommended 10 minutes a day), doing new challenging exercise routines on it, and adding in good diet, good cardio, and maybe a bit of detoxing for the fall transition (my specially!)

The Noblerex K-1 will replace all traditional weight training at the gym (not that I’ve been doing much of that lately, I’ve been doing more running and biking than anything else with this summer weather) and will also be used for most of my pre and post workout stretching routine.

Noblerex 90 Day Challenge Outline:

  • Five days a week (the body needs a 24 hour break between intense training) either use the K-1 for 10 minutes a day twice a day, or 20 minutes twice a day, never just standing on the machine, but holding different poses for 1-2 minutes each.
  • Sweat each time I’m on the K-1!
  • 4 days a week: 30-50 minutes of cardio either running, spin class, or using the elliptical machine.
  • 2 days rest or do yoga
  • Continue to eat a raw food diet (see my other blog for info on how I like to eat), but try to lower the sugar by eating little to no dried fruit, honey, or desserts.   Fresh fruit in the morning and carbs such as oat groats, sweet potatoes, and quinoa are fine for me.

Note: unless you are already in very good health and are used to exercising a lot, please stick with the recommended 10 minutes a day until your body tells you you can handle more.  I don’t want anyone getting hurt!

This may not look like much of a change, but with a secret weapon like the Noblerex K1, I think this will do the trick.  Remember that the Noblerex is working out about 97% of your muscle fibers as opposed to just 45% with conventional exercise.  It’s also contracting your muscles 7-28 times per second.  Take that and multiply it by the minutes you’re on it, and you’ve got an incredibly intense workout that is sure to give your body the message to CHANGE, SCULPT, and TRANSFORM.  Vibration exercise is so efficient!

I will be starting this challenge the week of 9/21 and kicking it off with some videos, some body stats and measurements, and a before picture.  I’ll also be having some friends and guests doing mini challenges (30 days) with me so that will be fun to see their results in just 30 days.  I have a brand new OMRON scale to measure my progress as well as theirs, and I think you’ll be really entertained to watch us transform while having the best workout ever!

I’ll be letting you know what I’m doing on the Noblerex, a bit on what I’m eating—but I don’t plan on doing food logs or anything, it’s almost impossible to track calories or macronutrients the way I eat—and what else I decide the add in or subtract if I feel more or less needs to be done.

Enjoy the challenge and I really hope you’ll do something similar along with me!

My Personal Health Goals

healthy-living-woman

If you’ve checked out the www.noblerexk1health.com site, you probably already know there is an abundance of benefits exercise on the Noblerex K1 can provide.  I am not just talking anecdotal, nice-to-haves either.  The vast majority of them have been shown in research studies.  Just type in Whole Body Vibration on pubmed.com and you’ll see too.  Here are just a few of them again:

  • Builds muscle strength, stamina, and tone
  • Increases flexibility and range of motion
  • Enhances balance and coordination
  • Reduces soreness by washing out lactic acid build-up
  • Strengthens and enhances core muscles and posture
  • Reduces training time–60 minute total body workout in 10 minutes
  • Decreases healing time from future injuries
  • Warms up the muscles before a performance
  • Massages muscles
  • Raises resting metabolism
  • Helps breakdown fat and cellulite
  • Improves skin quality with improved circulation and toning of muscles and reduces the appearance of varicose veins
  • Improves collagen production (hello face lift!)
  • Reduces back and joint pain
  • Decreases blood pressure
  • Improves digestion and bowel movement regularity
  • Assists in ongoing detoxification
  • Increased feeling of overall well-being and energy
  • Increases circulation and blood oxygenation
  • Stimulates and flushes the lymphatic system
  • Improves proprioception (sense of the relative position of parts of the body)
  • Stimulates and redevelops the neuromuscular system
  • Builds bone mass and bone mineral density– combating osteoporosis
  • Is used in many different rehabilitative capacities
  • Reduces and prevents muscle atrophy
  • Provides a low impact workout suitable for beginners as well as hard-core fitness enthusiasts
  • Boosts production of Human Growth Hormone
  • Reduces cortisol levels (stress hormone)
  • Elevates serotonin levels (the “happy” neurotransmitter)
  • Activates reflexology points on the bottom of the feet

Okay, I kid—that was practically all of them!  But if you’re anything like me, a bunch of these benefits really spoke to me.  These are benefits that I’ve had a challenge achieving on my own with traditional/conventional exercise.  I’m one of those people who LOVES to exercise.  I have had a gym membership for as long as I can remember, maybe since I was 19?  I love cardio and weight training.  I’ve had personal trainers and yoga studio memberships.  I love spin classes, cardio kickboxing, yoga, pilates, weight training and sculpting classes at the gym, etc.  Did I mention I love to run and bike all over the city?  I probably exercise 5-6 days a week doing a variety of things yet I’ve had a lot of challenge in getting to a lower body fat percentage and in getting more toned.   At 5’2 my weight is about 102 (it can fluctuate 1-2 lbs) and my body fat percentage last time I checked was 23% (using the gym’s handhelp OMRON body fat meter).  I think this is way too high and I can see it too!  I’m 27 years old and in great shape but I’ve been at 15% body fat before so I know I can do better!

So today I’d love to share with you some of my health goals and areas of improvement I plan on seeing reached with a 90 Day Challenge (more on this in the next post!):

  1. Lower body fat percentage: I’m aiming for 17%.  I don’t really care about my weight.  If I put on a few pounds of muscle, great!
  2. Improved muscle tone.
  3. Reduction of cellulite—there is some dimpling my thighs and butt
  4. Improving my circulation.  The last time I went to my naturopath, she mentioned I had poor circulation.  I also feel a weird tingling in my hands and under arms sometimes…
  5. Balancing my hormones.  My hormones have always been a bit off.  I’ve been on birth control for about ten years now because when I go off them, my period gets pretty irregular.
  6. Be happier MORE.  With an increase in serotonin, why not? It’s good to feel good!
  7. Reduce my back and neck pain.  I frequently go to an acupuncturist to work on my back, neck, and shoulders.  This is most likely from being at the computer most of the day.
  8. Improved skin.  I’d also like to experience some sort of visible youthening effect.  I am expecting something with the increased Human Growth Hormone being produced by me.
  9. Less stress.   Enough said :)
  10. Appetite Control (I can get pretty ravenous!)  I think the increased oxygenation and serotonin will help here.
  11. Improve bladder control.  I don’t suffer from incontinence or anything, but I usually have to go to the bathroom pretty often.  I’m not sure if this 90 day challenge will help, but I am thinking it will.
  12. Better/less sleep.  The increased exercise (for ALL my muscles) and HGH should help here.
  13. Improved digestion.
  14. More friends.  Just kidding!

Wow, that seems like a lot!  Currently, I am already a very healthy person with a good diet and a good level of fitness, but I’m a good example of all of you out there looking for a real EDGE to reach their goals and even their competition.  I think that it will be easier to see toning and shaping results on my too beeause I’m already in decent shape se this will be a fun experiment.  The Noblerex K-1 is going to be that EDGE for me and others and I can’t wait to start this challenge!
